Ad Copy

If you've been marketing online for any length of time, you probably know that copy writing IS the single, most important factor that will make the difference between your success and failure online.

I mean, let's face it... without absolutely grab-em-by-the-throat ad copy, it won't matter if you have the best products or services in the world… It won't matter how "professional" your website looks, or how high your rankings are in the search engines, heck it won't even matter if you're getting an avalanche of targeted traffic to your site...

... None of this stuff means squat if your website doesn't sell! Period. Full Stop. End of story.

Unless your ad copy is a doing a brilliant job of persuading and convincing people to buy, then all the money, time and energy you spent on attracting hordes of targeted traffic to it will be totally, completely and utterly WASTED!

I can tell you that if your product actually has a market and yet you're not making enough sales, there's one reason why. What's standing between you and a fortune of money is your sales letter!

Yet truth be told, there aren't more than twenty world-class copywriters alive today.

Most of the stuff out there is warmed over feature drivel that makes sales in spite of the ad copy, not because of it.

If you want to seize your prospect's attention, get your message across, and make the sale... you need gut-wrenching, benefit-driven, customer-orientated, "killer" ad copy.

What makes sense is to put an Opt-in Box smack dab in the video itself!

In our case studies, our conversions rates have increased as high as 181% compared to an opt-in box that was below or to the side.

The fact that you're reading this probably means that you have already created one or more websites to offer your information or product or service to the world. Perhaps you are an internet business owner with a product to market from one or two websites. Or perhaps you are an affiliate marketer or Adsense marketer with a large number of websites. There are many different (and good) reasons for creating websites, and everyone knows that creating quality websites is not an easy task. So let me begin by congratulating you on completing the first important task in getting an internet-based venture rolling - namely, creating the website or sites that market your business to the world.

But anyone who wants to build an internet business quickly realizes that just creating a website, even a really good one, isn't enough. In order to build a viable internet business, you need to get something else that is crucial to your success. That something is traffic!

You Need Website Traffic To Succeed!

If you want to succeed in any internet-based venture, you need people to visit your website or websites. If no one visits your website, no one will click on your ads or purchase your products. It's as simple as that. The degree to which you succeed is directly related to how much traffic, i.e., how many customers, you can bring in to your website.

Neurolinker makes getting top-notch one-way links to your website effortless. It gives you the flexibility to randomly rotate the anchor text of your incoming links. It gives you the power to eliminate those links that you feel aren't appropriate. It gives you the price that makes signing up a no-brainer. If you've been searching for a means of bringing more traffic to your website, one-way links should be the cornerstone of your strategy, and Neurolinker should be your primary solution.

PodCast and Vblogs

PodCast's and Vblog's are a pretty incredible new technology, aren’t they?

If you’re like me, you’ve probably thought about doing some PodCasting of your own. Maybe you’ve taken the first step and done a recording.

I did that, too, and I was really stoked about it…until I played it back. It went something like this:

“Uh…yeah…. I’m gonna review this CD from—no, wait, it’s a DVD. OK, I’m reviewing the latest, uh, DVD from Coldplay…”

Oh, THAT was impressive. Yeah, right. Like I’d want to send that out over a PodCast or Vblog, with all the “um’s” and “ah’s”. No way, Jose.

But then I got an idea…

Suppose you could use a simple tool to edit out all the “um’s” and “ah’s” and “do-overs.”

Imagine…you do your PodCast or Vblog, talking just like you normally do without having to be self-conscious or think about what to say. Then you use a simple tool to smooth it all out so it sounds like a pro recorded it.

Sounds too good to be true?

Well, it isn’t if you have the right tool.

Think about it. The ability to edit and delete could make you into a PodCast or Vblog star overnight.

But Cleaning Up Recordings Is The Hard Part…

You could pay a sound engineer to clean up your PodCast, but it would cost you a lot of money—those guys make at least $50 and hour.

But instead of paying some sound engineer a fortune OR trying to read from a script (which sounds fake anyway), what if you had…

“PodCast Teleprompter”

Finally! A way to quickly and easily make every PodCast or Vblog you make sound just like Anderson Cooper on CNN or someone like him recorded it.

Blog Articles

How to write blog articles that drive traffic to your site

Blogging is a global phenomena. People from all walks of life are now able to set up their personal soapbox, putting their thoughts and passions out for all the world to see. The cost of setting up a blog and publishing is one of the lowest cost investments you might find in starting a small business.

Competition is stiff, because there are tens of millions of people who are equally passionate in their desire to express themselves. Blog articles that attract the attention of the search engines and your potential audience must be well written, well researched and rhetorically powerful. In addition, it's important to have the right mix of blog articles, as different types of postings allow you to attract different segments of the demographic audience you seek. This means a greater variety of readers and more of them. When you write blog articles, there are certain techniques you can use which will improve your rankings with the search engines, while other methods will have the opposite effect.

Here's a brief overview of how to make the most of your blog articles.

Before you launch your blog, write a substantial number of blog articles. If you go live with just a few entries, the search engine spiders may conclude that your site isn't worth another look for a while. The type of article to concentrate on initially are those which offer the reader substance and demonstrate your expertise in your subject matter.

Let's say your blog focuses on web design in general, certain elements of page function, such as RSS feeds and the use and placement of ads, as well as techy information on potential effects of using Flash. Each one of these topics is a great candidate for a tutorial style of blog article, which empowers your reader with new skills. Before you launch, this category should be populated with perhaps a dozen such pieces.

Another primary objective of all other postings is to pique the curiosity of your reader. Perhaps you've chosen to write a piece examining the pros and cons of using a two column versus three column page design. An open ended question at the end might be, “While each design has it's advantages, you need to consider the factors that are best for your overall needs. Let me know what you think. Your comments will be helpful to other readers.” This invites participation and a lively and active blog audience. Controversial topics and unusual slants also promote interactive discussions with your readers.

Be sure you post a new blog article every day. If a visitor sees that you post daily, you are psychologically you are communicating your commitment, which is contagious to your visitors. Your site traffic will grow far more quickly if your content is always fresh and of good quality. Conversely, if you post infrequently or erratically, readers lose interest. If you're not interested or active, why should they be?

Another technique to integrate into your blog postings is to seek out other quality bloggers in your topic area and write occasional comments on a particularly relevant (to your readers) posting. Once that blogger starts to see your regular, intelligent comments, they may come and take a look at your site, thus spreading the word to their readers. You can also develop a blog article of your own, using an excerpt from that other bloggers entry, essentially writing a review. You can include a back link from your site to theirs, which ups your ranking with the search engines.

One distinct advantage of the blogger site is that, if yours is opinion oriented, discussing controversial topics, you have a free hand in your expression of your thoughts, within reason. So you are free to demonstrate your passion for your subject. Do so! This will garner a wider range of opinions, making yours a lively and popular blog.

There you have the basics of creating blog articles that will help you quickly gain a loyal following.

Advertisement In Magazines

How to determine when placing an advertisement in magazines pays

It's a fact that, for certain businesses, placing an advertisement in magazines can pay. Depending on your business niche and the circulation numbers of the particular magazine, this can be a smart move. Nationally circulated magazines can gain you attention from millions of magazine subscribers. While the cost of placing such advertisements in magazines can be significant, if you catch the eye of ten thousand subscribers who respond with inquiries, you can easily recoup the cost of the magazine ad ten times over. On the other hand, if your choice of publication is not well focused, your investment may be a total waste. When you contemplate placing an advertisement in magazines, you need to conduct a thorough analysis of cost versus your ROI.

Let's say you have a website which focuses on gardening. A general, nationally distributed magazine, such as Ladies Home Journal, or Family Circle, may attract the attention of some subscribers. However, the cost of placing advertisements in magazines of this type are not likely to return sales that will pay for the ad. On the other hand, horticultural magazines, devoted to organic gardening, will not command ad prices that break your advertising budget, while grabbing the attention of many more readers. It all works out to percentages. A smaller circulation number does not necessarily mean fewer takers. Placing an advertisement in magazines which are working the same niche as you, are often far more economical on the up front cost, while bringing a far greater percentage of interested visitors to your site.

Perhaps you're selling restaurant equipment. Placing an advertisement in magazines can bring good returns, so long as you focus on the right publications. In this scenario, look for trade publications, such as hospitality and culinary oriented magazines and newsletters. These advertisements are usually low cost and high on ROI. This is a good investment. You may even offer the publication a free feature article in exchange for a byline, thus saving any advertising costs, while attracting the attention of thousands of readers, people who will buy!

On the other hand, if you are selling a product or service that is best advertised on the net, an advertisement in magazines can be an absolute waste of money. You need to understand your market. For example, if you're selling marketing, design, writing or programming services, it's unlikely that advertising in magazines will serve your purpose. This type of advertising is just money down the drain.

When you choose to place an advertisement in magazines, be sure that the investment will pay you back in sales.

Global Marketing Strategies

The global market place affects pretty much everyone. Any business model that ignores this fact is outdated. It used to be that you wouldn't have to worry about global marketing strategies unless you were a large multinational conglomerate, but this is true no longer. International brand positioning and identity are imported from the ground up. With the increasing skills of national and international brands at capturing niche markets, niche brands in turn have to be aware of global markets. In the long run, this is the best way to stay competitive.

That is why even narrowly focused marketing companies try to be aware of the global scene. There is simply no other way to go about it. Using globally positioned brands names allows them to stay ahead of the curve. Otherwise, it is very easy to miss a regional marketing strategy that is making inroads in your own market. After all, who is to say that global marketing strategies used in small-town Canada won't work in small town America? By watching the trends before they affect you, you can be prepared for when they hit your locality.

One of the most important global marketing strategies in the current age is global search engine optimization. Globally positioned markets try to dominate search traffic even in areas where they have not yet penetrated the consumer market. This is one of the best ways to increase brand recognition. If you are selling a brand of soda pop for example, and every time some Google soda pop your brand comes up, they will already recognize it by the time it makes it to the local grocery store. Though this advertising doesn't come free, it is much cheaper than an international ad campaign. If you optimize for search traffic, you really can effectively advertise everywhere at once.

Many of the most interesting and effective global marketing strategies are currently being developed on the Internet. Viral and guerrilla marketing is easier than ever using electronic communication. After all, you can make a virtually unlimited number of copies for absolutely nothing. People who would change the channel automatically when the commercials come on still may be willing to look at a clever video that you company has put together. If they like it, they will even send it on to their friends. By studying Internet consumer habits, you can develop global marketing strategies that take care of themselves.

Here is a good example of global marketing. This web site portal has over 140 web sites world wide.

Make Web Sites

It has never been easier to make your own website than it is today. It is really simple. If you don't believe me, try MySpace. All you have to do is log on, create an account, and you can make web site within a few minutes. Even if you have never programmed in HTML before, barely understand the Internet at all, and don't know what you want to do with your website, you can still make a website very quickly. Not only will you have your own webpage, but you will have one that doesn't cost you anything. This is pretty cool for a lot of purposes.

Nevertheless, there are some drawbacks to deciding to make web sites this way. It is fine for your personal blog. A lot of people make web site as a way to keep in touch with their friends. Nonetheless, if you're doing more than keeping up with your friends through the website, you have to go a step further. There are plenty of Web designers out there who charge reasonable rates. I was pretty skeptical when I was first deciding to make a band web site. I figure that any web page would do as long as it gave tour dates, contact information, sound samples, bios, and a few good pictures. I was wrong. When you make web site in your spare time and don't put any effort into it, it shows. It will not discourage your hard-core fans, but it won't encourage new people to check out your band either. It is crucial to make a website that will catch their eye.

If you don't feel like paying anyone to make website, there are still great looking web site templates that you can use that will give you better results than many of the free webpage programs. Nowadays, there are more HTML programs than ever before. Any of them will help you make web site. They all have different features, and it is too much to get into right now, but fortunately most of them have trial versions available. This means that you can download them for free and use them for a limited time to get a feel for what they do. Give it a try, do some research, and see how it works. You might be surprised with the results you get. It will be worth the work you put into it, and you might come out knowing a little more about how the web works.

Marketing Case Studies

Attention marketers! Marketing case studies deserve your study

You don't need to be a big corporation with a giant marketing budget to benefit from a studious research on marketing case studies. If you Google this term, you'll find there are more examples of such studies than you could ever hope to read. Marketing firms usually have an array of marketing case studies on their websites, which you may freely peruse. The marketing firm is interested in showing potential clients their expertise in turning a bad situation around, using various marketing vehicles to eliminate problems and turn minuses into pluses. Some specialize in certain types of businesses, while others claim superior talent in almost any venue.

Let's say you're a small business which cannot afford the services of a full blown marketing agency. Maybe you're just starting out and your budget is of the shoestring variety. Nonetheless, it's always recommended that you research every avenue which can help you promote your business successfully and learn from the mistakes of others. Searching out and closely examining pertinent marketing case studies can definitely give you an edge against your competition.

This type of search and study program might consume many hours of your time, but it's time well spent.

for example, let's say you've got a home decorating business and you'd like to expand your client list with your website. Conduct a search to find relevant marketing case studies. The professional home decorator can learn much from any marketing case study which is related to your business. Businesses selling window treatments, furniture or even landscaping can prove fruitful ground. All of these businesses are geared towards beautifying the home environment. Case studies are typically of the rags-to-riches type, where the business in question was faltering, due to a variety of marketing mistakes.

When you avail yourself of such knowledge, it becomes easy to make the correlation between the guy marketing window treatments and the needs of your own business, home decorating. You may well discover that one of your marketing ideas was actually a source of another vendor's woes. It's up to you to decide if the circumstances of that vendor's marketing case study mimic your own approach. Perhaps you've got other marketing ideas in place which will make your approach work, as demonstrated by that guy's case study. On the other hand, you may learn that you're going down the very same road that got him in trouble.

The case studies may not reveal all the secrets that went into the turnaround, but you can be assured that if you spend some time looking into and analyzing the lessons to be learned, your venture will be significantly improved by the knowledge you gain. Perhaps so much so, that you can afford to hire one of these gurus and attain true stardom. These professional marketers do have a lot to offer.

Marketing eMail Advertising Online

Avoiding the onus of spamming: marketing email advertising online is a delicate subject

Just about everyone is aware of how devastating spamming can be to your reputation. Let's say you're selling the most wonderful service that millions of people want. Your service is graphic design and you're quite talented, if you do say so. You cannot simply send out a thousand unsolicited emails to people and businesses who might want your service. You could lose your ISP, your email might be closed and your web host might refuse service. All of your hard work has come to nothing. So how are you supposed to drum up some business?

There are several ways of marketing email advertising online which are not frowned upon and can give you great exposure without earning you a reputation as a spammer – one of the worst monikers on the net! Let's take a look at how you can be legitimate and successful, marketing email advertising online.

If you don't now have a free e-mail newsletter available for your visitors, start putting one together now! You can hire someone to do it for you, or you can publish it yourself. Check out the many free tutorials available online, complete with templates and the information you need on auto-responders, etcetera. The two I recommend are Aweber and Getresponse. If you prefer to own your auto-responders software, try mailloop.

When you're ready to publish, advertise your free e-newsletter on every page of your site. This gives you tremendous exposure. If your visitor considers your website valuable to their interests, they'll sign up. The rules on marketing email advertising online require acceptance on the part of your recipients. The reader must request your e-newsletter, or opt-in.

Your e-newsletter must, of course, contain valuable information and links to more. However, you are also permitted to insert advertising within your content and regular features. Don't overdo it and risk turning off your readers. Your advertising should be highly targeted to your reader. In the case of the graphic designer, perhaps your current issue contains a feature story on effective logo design. Construct a small group of leads which your reader may find of use, such as a print or e-book on branding, or another related product or service which doesn't compete with you. This strategy of marketing email advertising online keeps your readers interested in what you have to offer while gaining commissions for you. This strategy also builds your readership. Word of mouth is a powerful advertising tool, with not the slightest hint of spamming!

Now that you've got your own e-newsletter going, it's time to branch out to other readers, not in your customer base. Offer your feature e-newsletter articles to other related e-newsletters. You'll be giving your articles away for free, but in exchange, you get a byline, with a link to your site! You may have noticed that all of this marketing email advertising online costs you nothing, except for the time you invest in searching out resources or writing an article. When you contact the owners of other sites, be discriminating. Choose those of high quality and large readerships, for the best exposure.

Marketing email advertising online is easy. Know your customer's needs and target those audiences as precisely as possible.

Affiliate Marketing

3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.
There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.
Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.
Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving…

Traffic to Your Website

Driving traffic to your website is the name of the game for your net success!

Just a little more than a decade ago, the net was a brand new, virtual frontier. There weren't hundreds of thousands of competing websites focused on your niche market. Search engines were in their infancy, a convenience to users and websites, but certainly not the sophisticated indexing devices of today.

Back in the mid-1990s, a relatively small number of people communicated or purchased online. Online marketing was in the developmental stage. Today, competition online requires a savvy business mind, a rock solid marketing plan and considerable knowledge of the search engines and search engine optimization. It's no longer good enough to have a good product or service. Driving traffic to your website is the name of the game. Accomplishing that goal is your challenge. Here we offer some of the best strategies to encourage traffic to your website, today!

Ten years ago, you could get away with slapping up a couple of pages, one a sales copy page and another to order your product or service. This formula absolutely doesn't work today. The major search engines are interested in providing useful information to their clients, the net surfer. It's now necessary to offer considerable value, in terms of free, relevant and accurate information your visitors can use. Even entertainment value is considered in these ultra-smart search engine algorithms. Today, your website content is essential to driving traffic to your website.

Google handles about 75% of all searches by web surfers. So it's imperative that you have a good understanding of the rules Google plays by, what makes a site attractive to its bots, as well as what doesn't. There's a lot of material to cover and you might well want to hire a pro to quickly and effectively get Google working for you.

The greater number of quality links you've got going, the better. Some sites have literally millions of links, going both to and from their sites. Quality must be emphasized and can be a great deal of work, but build your links over time. It pays off, incrementally, with increased traffic to your website.

You'll want to take advantage of any legitimate free advertising avenues open to you. By legitimate, we mean nothing that might be construed as spam. However, if you take the time to put out a monthly, free e-newsletter as an opt-in for your visitors, this is great advertising exposure. You provide your readers with feature stories of interest to your subscribers, as well as links to information and such, along with a couple of ads for quality products. Readers of e-newsletters often pass them on to friends with similar interests. Word-of-mouth referrals means more traffic to your website.

Writing free downloadable e-books pertaining to your area of expertise is another good way to drive more traffic to your website. You may also want to give the user distribution rights, so long as your book remains intact.

If you have any time left - whew – get a blog going. You can generate a lot of buzz and tons of links through this project.

Getting traffic to your website may start off slowly, but progressively building your website into one the bots find attractive will get those numbers climbing fast!

Your Own Business

Looking for extra cash? Now may be the time to consider your own business, online!

Get 106 Unique online Income Portals Installed on 106 Domains across The Internet.

Virtually everyone is feeling a bit nervous about job security these days. Just about every day, we hear on the news of another huge corporate layoff. So this may be the perfect time to start thinking about starting your own business online. It does take some time to make your business plan, implement it and build an online presence that brings in enough income to match what you're currently making. The cost of starting an online business does not even approach the expense involved in starting a brick and mortar operation, so you don't need huge amounts of cash to start your own business online. Let's take a look to see how you can use this strategy to help insure yourself, should you become suddenly jobless.

The cost of starting a website is minimal. You'll need a domain name, which can cost as little as $2. You can find a web hosting service for anywhere from $4.95 to about $15.00 per month. Most web hosting services provide you with a shopping cart to facilitate sales transactions, as well as automated email software to manage customer contacts and auto-responders. Using PayPal to process your transactions provides a hassle free and inexpensive merchant account vehicle.

When you start your own business online, you also enjoy the advantage of minimal overhead, because you can work out of your home, without the expense of office space, electricity and all the maintenance of the brick and mortar setting.

Your first step is to start brainstorming. If you like what you're currently doing for a living, see how you might apply those skills to an online setting. What talents do you have that might be viable products or services on the net? Once you start thinking, you'll be amazed to see the possibilities.

Let's say you're working as a beautician. You know everything about manicures, hair coloring and the best beauty products. Your experience with your customers has given you expertise in what the consumer wants. Why not start a beauty site? If you're working in a corporate environment as a marketing analyst, there are plenty of web surfers looking for marketing information and services.

Go down every avenue you can think of, where your skills can fill a need. Sometimes, obscure areas of knowledge are excellent niche markets, due to the fact that you have less competition. For example, if your hobby is growing bonsais, you might start your own business online, with products and services that pertain to growing bonsais. You can sell books on the subject through Amazon for a nice commission. You can also write booklets on specialized areas of this horticultural niche.

Hobbies sometimes make excellent candidates for your own business venture online. If you quilt, enjoy making gift baskets or craft items, candle-making or stained glass, these can eventually earn you a full time income. Selling on eBay doesn't even require having your own website!

So what's the catch? Building your own business is a lot of work! It can be time intensive, so you must be committed to investing the time. In order to succeed with the search engines, which ultimately drives customers to your site, you must give your visitors value, information that's free, such as content. It's all about content, and you want to launch with as much as you can to jump start your search engine rankings and traffic.

While building quality content, you'll simultaneously want to look into doing your web page design, unless you've got the cash to hire someone to do this for you. If you want to do the visuals yourself, visit the W3 school online. If you've got the time, you can learn to do all of these things for free!

Starting your own business online might be the best move you've ever made. It's certainly worth some thought. What do you have to lose?

Check the blog directories for web hosting review blogs. Check out hosting message boards, chat rooms and forums for unbiased user reviews. Pay particular attention to articles and message board remarks that deal with hosting awards and e-Commerce hosting plans.

Working Mothers

How Would You Like To Quit Your Slave Wage Day Job- And Start Making A Residual Income That Can Make All Of Your Dreams Come True...

Equal pay for equal work: a frustration for many working mothers

Most families are not financially able to enjoy the luxury of a stay at home Mom. It's too hard for most of us to make ends meet without a second income. However, when Mom goes to work, she finds, more often than not, that the working mother, doing the same job and possessing an equal skill set, is paid less than a man. This is a source of great and legitimate frustration.

Working mothers are already penalized, in that she has far less time to spend raising her children. The insult to injury shows up in her paycheck. She may be seated right next to Joe, doing the exact same work. Joe's paycheck is, sometimes, substantially larger, while they both work 40 hours. Doesn't seem right, does it? Let's take a look at why this situation is so common and what the working mother can do to attain equal pay for equal work.

The genesis of unequal pay began more than fifty years ago. During World War II, with most working age men away at war, the family structure got turned on its head. It became necessary for women to do their part to support the war effort, going to work in factories to make the necessary supplies (remember Rosie the Riveter?), as there weren't enough men to fill the jobs. The traditional stay at home Mom became a working mother, mostly due to a rally to patriotism. When the war ended, most women were relieved to be out of a job and back home tending the family fires.

This period of the working mother in war time did break the traditional mode of men as the breadwinners. By the mid-1950s, it became common for women to hold part time jobs to augment the family income. These jobs tended to be menial and women did not expect to be paid a man's wage. Such part-time and short term jobs did not pay enough to support the family and were not intended to be so. More complex occupations were generally reserved for men. Men wanted to be the breadwinners, while women did not. This was the socially acceptable arrangement of the day.

During the 1960s, it became far more common for women to go to college and develop careers previously held only by men. The unspoken agreement was that women were only hired for 'men's jobs' at a lesser rate of pay. After all, a woman was taking a job away from the traditional breadwinner. It would be unthinkable to give equal pay and women had to accept this if they wanted to work.

As time passed, these young women college grads married and had families. By the 1970s, economic conditions and increasing family debt brought women back into the mainstream work force, as working mothers. The prevailing notion of men being the breadwinners was still in effect. Employers still, perhaps almost unconsciously, regarded women as taking a job away from a man. The only rationale to hiring working mothers was that the company didn't need to pay them an equal wage.

Although plenty of women are still on a slow burn over the issue, old ideas die slowly. Today, we talk about the 'glass ceiling'. Equal pay is still an issue. Few women have overcome and broken through that ceiling, and now enjoy equal pay.

So what prevents most women from receiving equal pay? According to one female business consultant, the major reason is that women state a lower dollar amount as their desired rate of pay when they apply for that equal work job!

Working mothers often buy into this self-defeating concept, feeling that the only way into a profession is a lower pay rate. Some feel that it's necessary to make that trade-off, because they need a job. Others think that they must be 'mannish' in their demeanor to get equal pay.

So what's the solution? Realize that your educational qualifications are every bit as valuable as a man with the same credentials. Women can be just as professional in the performance of their job as a man. Being a woman can be an asset in certain professions, where a woman's style of professionalism may be better suited to the occupation than a man's. Go online and find out what the market rate is for your skill set. When you interview, or are going for a pay raise, ask for that rate of pay. Today's working mother needs to buff up her professional self esteem! You may well get what you're worth. Good luck!

Site Maps

Site Making Using Google

Businesses that want to sell something in the market need 2 things. The first is the product to be sold which has to be made then distributed to places like the grocery, the mall or the supermarket. The second is marketing which is the vehicle to carry that message across to the consumer so that people are aware of its existence then it is purchased.

The age of the internet has given people the opportunity to make money via the web. There are a lot of websites that offer a person the chance to be seen easily and quickly and one of the best right now is using site maps created by Google.

The benefits of using Google are the following;

· It helps people find ones web page better than other search engines because of better crawl coverage.

· People will be able to search on certain keywords that the person put in place which will directly lead searchers to ones website.

· It allows the person to provide specific information to Google about the web page such as the last time it was modified or how often it is changed.

· Using Google straight will allow ones web page to be seen quickly which is a lot better than other computer companies who promise to do the same thing but can’t deliver in the end.

Now that the benefits have been mentioned, it is now time to go through the step by step process to make a Google site map.

1. The first thing that needs to be done is to do the proper research. The service or product has to fill a need that the customers want right now. It should provide a solution of some kind that will make that will improve the quality of life either at home or at work.

2. Next, one should focus on the product or service that is being offered to the customer must be sold at a decent price. Sometimes, the product one makes is already available in the market. To be competitive, one must figure out a way to convince people as to why this product is better than the other leading brands available. What features does it have that the competitor doesn’t? What makes it unique which is not only about the product on hand but the service that this can give as well?

Just like a normal business where business is done on the phone or in a store, one must acquire the right equipment and machines for the job. These could be merchandise that is either physical or electronic and an online ordering system.

To be successful, one should be sure that the goods that a customer will order can be delivered on time. If there are any problems, a customer support staff or system should be ready to cater to that.

3. If the business is done with a group of people or a single proprietorship, it is best to brainstorm for the best domain name for the business. It should be catchy and will easily be remembered by people. Given that there are probably other people who have been in the business longer and that it is possible that the domain name has already been taken, it is best to think of several names in case it can no longer be used.

4. When a domain name has been selected, one should enter the URL of the website to be created. Google site maker will then crawl the site and create a list of all the links it can find.

5. Next, one should fix the control settings. Doing this will determine how frequent the contents of the site changes which will let Google know how often it should be crawled.

6. If there are certain URL’s that a person does not wish to be included in ones site, Google can be instructed to bypass it so that it will not be crawled and posted on ones site map. One can select what types of files to be bypassed whether these are .zip or .exe files.

7. Also, one has the option of adding the sites FTP information since Google can automatically upload the site map for the person.

Web Design and Development

Increase your conversion rates with these tips on web design and development

Good web design and development is more than just coding. You need to consider more than just a visually pleasing page. With very few exceptions, websites are there to make money. Sure, it's true that you've got to have good content and plenty of it in order to raise your search engine rankings. However, once your visitor arrives, it's imperative that the visitor can quickly and easily discern what you have to offer.

You need to make it easy to navigate your site as well, placing links to other pages on your site which are relevant to that reader's interest. While it may seem obvious, your web design and development plan must include the assumption that your visitor does not necessarily land on your homepage. You need to organize each page accordingly. Your general page layout and screen size are other factors which contribute to usability. In a nutshell, usability is most important to your success. Here are a few tips that will increase your conversion rates.

The latest figures on screen size indicate that upwards of 80% of users use the 1024 x 768 screen resolution, so it's best to design your page to that size. A three column page makes a good composition, but in order to be sure your sales propositions are clear to the other 20% of visitors using the smaller screen resolution, it's best that your sales propositions be placed in the left hand column. For example, if you have an e-newsletter, place this offer in the left hand column.

Remember what we said about not assuming your visitor lands first on your homepage? A good web design and development plan means that you must place your offer for your e-zine in the same position on every page. You'll increase your readership exponentially, since every visitor will spot your offer.

This brings us to the scrolling factor. Unless you make your purpose and value proposition visible in the top portion of the page, without the user needing to scroll down, chances are good they'll never see it. All such messages should be displayed in the left hand, or second column, as appropriate.

Your web design and development plan must tackle the complex problem of each page's organization of content. Knowing that a first time visitor can land on any page on your site, introductory material must be written such that your visitor is not confused. Make the purpose of that material clear, on that page. Do not write it as a continuing saga with the assumption the reader has read the previous page. This isn't really tricky, as long as you apply the principle of the material being standalone information.

Now for navigation aspects. Let's say you've got a gardening website. One page contains an article on the general care of roses. Your web design and development plan needs to address the question of which of your other pages might be most relevant to that reader, and place links to those other pages in an easily found location. As your traffic grows, you'll begin to see user patterns to refine your links to suit your traffic.

Incorporate these tips into your initial web design and development plan and watch your traffic grow. Pretty isn't enough, but fortunately, you can have both beauty and function.

Attract Women

Want to know how to attract women? The moves are simple and few, really!

Many of you men spend a great deal of time thinking up new lines, better moves and what not, all in your ongoing quest to attract women to your suave, polished persona. Let me clue you in on a few facts and give you some guidelines that will not only attract women, but will have them flocking to you. Sound good? OK then, let's go.

First of all, you've got to understand that the vast majority of women see right through the insincere compliments and old, dusty lines. Believe it or not, the oldest of the old, “Haven't I met/seen you somewhere before?”, line is still alive, but perhaps not well. The best you can hope for is laughter. I suppose it could be used to advantage, if you quickly follow up with a “Just kidding!”, laughing along with them. This might give you an opening for a more intelligent or witty remark with which to start a conversation.

You also have to know that, should you (apparently) attract women with a slick line, she might just be playing with you!

Many men feel that, in order to attract women, they cannot possibly act like themselves. They think they must somehow embellish their personality or talents. This won't work for long. Sooner or later, she'll find out you're not really a Karate expert or a doctor, or whatever you add to your real repertoire of attractive qualities. Truly, just be yourself (with a few common sense exceptions)!

Common sense tells you that rude noises, crude language and off-color jokes don't attract women. If you're habitually unkempt, don't brush your teeth often and don't believe in bathing, you may as well fuggedaboutit! A clean, neat appearance is your best bet. This is all rather obvious, but I've seen living evidence that not every man understands these basic points.

Once you've struck up a conversation, try to draw the woman out as to her interests, instead of talking all about you. All people enjoy talking about themselves and women are no exception. Besides, it shows her that you're interested in her. Egomaniacs don't attract women in very large numbers!

However, there's a caveat on this questioning. Don't ask personal questions that will make her feel like she's being stalked. For example, don't ask if she has a boyfriend, where she lives or where she works. Movies, music, books, jogging or any general activity are safe subjects to get the ball rolling. If you happen to be neighbors or co-workers, you have an advantage in having the opportunity to observe her and learn about what she's interested in before you make your move.

Here are some of the qualities that women find extremely attractive: a genuine manner, humility (think not-a-braggart), a good sense of humor, a gentle voice and gentlemanly conduct.

Some men try to attract women based solely on looks, despite finding out that she hates everything that you like to do! Why try to cultivate a relationship in which you have nothing in common? Move on to another good looking woman with whom you may have shared interests.

So there you have it in a nutshell. Go with these guidelines and see if you don't have the women coming to you!

Make Extra Money Fast!

Five ways to make extra money fast!

Our current economy being what it is, plenty of people are looking to make extra money, fast. Here are five ways to do so, ideas you can put to work today.

1.If you're like me, your garage is probably piled with boxes of things you either no longer use or just plain don't need. Get the whole family out there and spend the day going through all of this stuff. If you're the pack-rat type, forget the sentimentality and don't waste time trying to rationalize a reason to keep something you haven't used in a year. Put flyers up around the neighborhood, along with an ad in the local paper. A friend of mine holds a garage sale three or four times a year (she's got four kids) and makes $200-300 every time.

2.Make holiday craft items. You can sell these at crafts fairs, church bazaars and, depending on the item, even in small local shops. Items like wreaths, candles, decorated baskets and Christmas ornaments sell like hotcakes! This is a great way to make extra money fast.

3.Most of us have clothing items and accessories in our closets that we no longer use, like or need. Have everyone in the family go through their closets and sort out unwanted items. Again, ditch the sentimentality. Keep your goal in mind – you're looking to make extra money fast, not go on a nostalgic journey. Make sure each item is in good repair and clean. Take the clothes and accessories to a consignment shop and sell them. If you need the money right now, most shops will buy them and pay you upfront, although you'll take a reduction in the percentage offered. For example, if you wait until they sell, you generally get 50% of the selling price. For an immediate sale, you'll get something in the neighborhood of 40% of the projected selling price.

4.If you have valuable jewelry, it's hard to part with, for obvious reasons. However, desperate times call for desperate measures. A good quality half-carat diamond will fetch you at least $250 on the spot at a pawn shop. If you anticipate an improved financial situation in the near future, you can always redeem it. The usual contract gives you three months to buy it back. If you have gold jewelry, such as necklaces, rings and bracelets, you can get some significant money with these pieces, as the price of gold is quite high now. Such jewelry must bear an imprint indicating whether it is 14-karat or 24-karat gold, as the value is assessed by weight. This is perhaps the easiest way to make extra money fast – as in today.

5.Last, but not least, consider taking any old part-time job. Minimum wage jobs, especially ones most people don't want to do, usually pay on a weekly basis. You don't want to be picky when you're trying to make extra money fast. Even if you're digging ditches in the rain for a week, you will have money at the end of that week.

So there you have it. Five guaranteed ways to make extra money, fast. Good luck!

Telecommuting Writing Jobs

Telecommuting writing jobs: make your own schedule, save gas and creatively make a living

Rich writers are not the norm. You probably already know that. Even best-selling novelists, while enjoying some fame, seldom truly amass a fortune. If that fortunate and talented writer has their book made into a movie, they just may get into some wealth. However, most writers write because they love the work and would rather write than do anything else. Writers are often not well suited to a corporate environment, as they prefer working alone. If you now write as a hobby, but fear that your day job may go by the wayside in these tough economic times, you should begin now to look in to the telecommuting writing job market. You may not get rich, but you can make a living doing what you like doing best.

Here are a few of the benefits of telecommuting writing jobs. You don't have to be anywhere and punch a clock. You can work by day or night, or a mix of the two. You don't have to make special arrangements with your boss to go to the dentist, doctor or your kid's school events. Telecommuting writing jobs give you (almost) complete freedom to schedule your own life. Working at home means you don't drive any distance to work, so you can tame your gas costs as well. Sounds pretty good, right?

So what's the catch? You'll find there are times when you'll get a job with a very tight deadline on the turnaround. For example, you find a client who needs a bio written for their website by tomorrow morning. Yes, there are people like that. If you want the job, you need to be flexible and diligent and get that piece written before the coach turns into a pumpkin, if you want to be paid and keep your sterling reputation. If you are unable to meet deadlines, word does get around, with negative effects on your career and income.

Telecommuting writing jobs are actually on the rise now, while the brick-and-mortar opportunities are on the decline. If you're a disciplined writer, you can succeed in this market. You need to have the ability to be your own boss. No one will be telling you what to do next, or when. You've got to consistently pursue your craft, without fail.

So how do you break into the telecommuting writing job market? Unless you have previously published work, you may need to write a few pieces for free. This is a common practice. Literary sites often advertise for writers, on a 'contributing' basis. If you see such an ad, it means they want you to write for nothing. Why would anyone do this? What it amounts to is that you're giving your work to them in exchange for being published. Now you've got a clip, a url you can give to a prospective client. Accumulate a few and you're on your way in the paying writing markets.

You should also prepare several samples of your writing. It's important to diversify, with samples on various topics, demonstrating good research skills and a distinctive and consistent style and voice. If you're rusty on your grammar, review! With a variety of sample topics to choose from, you'll better your chances of landing that 24-hour turnaround job. Competition is stiff and jobs go fast.

While writing can be hard work, is there something else you'd rather be doing? If not, start putting together your portfolio now, before you quit your day job. A telecommuting writing job may be the most fulfilling job you've ever had!

Spyware Cleaner

One of the most annoying pests to be found online is spyware, though email spam and other types of unsolicited offers rank right up there. Spyware is a huge problem for many, and though most of it is harmless, it can bog down your computer. Those with older computer might find that if they have enough of it on their system that their computers begin to crash quite often and they seem to be missing much of the free space they use to have available. This is why it is a good idea of everyone to have a spyware cleaner on their computer.

A good spyware cleaner can work wonders. Most of the time, these come with Internet service, but that is not always the case. There are times when someone must look for one online, but they aren’t that hard to find. There is the free version of the spyware cleaner and then there are some that are for a fee. They both work rather well, so either will usually do. These can be run once a day or once a week, depending on how big of a problem someone has.

Now that tools like firewalls and spam detector type programs are more common, people don’t think they need to get the spyware cleaner, but that can be a mistake. Though it would seem some spyware gets onto a computer all on its own, there are times when it comes with another program. I know that many like to get Smiley Central on their computer to use the free smilies, but when I downloaded this years ago, it came with some lovely spyware. I then realized why it was free. I had to use my spyware cleaner to get rid of it.

Looking around for a spyware cleaner shouldn’t be that hard, and a person might even contact their service provider to see if they have one that they offer with their services. Some do and some do not. If they do not, they may be able to recommend something that will be safe to use. Remember to use it any time the computer seems to be slowing down or when you have downloaded something that you might not be sure it totally safe. A good spyware cleaner, along with a good anti virus program, can help keep a computer safe and running smoothly, at least as far as outside pests go.

Online Toy Store

Shopping The Online Toy Store

What has happened is that a lot of people have realized that the online toy store is the better option when it comes to choosing and buying toys for birthdays, Christmas, or any other occasion. There are a few reasons for this, the least of which is time and convenience. What you should know if you want to shop for toys in this manner is that you have a lot of choices, and there are some things for which you should watch. You want to get the best deal when shopping locally, so it stands to reason that you should have the same online.

Which online toy store you want to use depends on what you want to find. There are some that have toys for all ages, but some specialize in certain brands or age groups. If you want to find Wiggles’ toys, for example, you may not find what you want through every online toy store out there. There are some US based-stores that have some things, but you are going to have more luck through a store based in Australia, where the Wiggles are from. They have merchandise that you can not get through US sources for licensing reasons.

If you have an infant, and you want to find an online toy store that has toys that are safe for them, you can find such a store. These would not have toys for older children. That makes searching for what you want easier. You can find the same online toy store for toddlers. You may even find that some have just educational toys, or that some only have those made with wood. There are many different directions in which these stores have gone, so see what you an find. You are always going to be surprised.

Once you have found an online toy store or two that you like, you can then shop around a bit. The best thing about shopping online is that you can compare prices in many different places without all of the driving around. The different prices through each online toy store can be displayed right there on your screen within minutes. You won’t have to second guess, and you can also see what you would have to pay for shipping, and how long that shipping would take.

Remember that there are other reasons why the online toy store can be a good idea. If you have ever gone on a hunt for that special toy, only to realize that no one has one left, you understand why shopping online for toys is a good idea. When you can’t find something locally, you can usually find it on a good number of web sites. Though you still don’t want to wait until the last minute, as you have shipping time to consider, you can usually find what you need through that online toy store when you can not get it anywhere else.

Online Business Opportunities

How to refine your online business opportunity choices and maximize your enjoyment and profits!

With the many success story websites we see and hear about, just about everyone’s thought about online business opportunities. It’s smart to be cautious and do some careful planning, but then again, it’s equally important that your venture be something you truly enjoy. You may put in more hours than you do at your current job, so loving your work is a high priority.

Another factor that comes into play is the careful planning, particularly when it comes to your lineup of products and services. You want to make available just the right mix of offerings, either of your own, those of affiliates, and those for which you are a distributor.

No matter what your niche market, you’ve got to make it a goal to maximize your online business opportunity and so maximize your profits – you are running a business. Many people set up beautiful websites with just a few, albeit high quality products. Such sites rarely stand the test of time, running out of resources and perhaps ultimately failing. Here’s how it works.

If your website offers little, you have fewer pages, so it takes far longer to raise your ranking with the search engines. This means fewer visitors. Studies generally agree that a potential customer visits your site seven times before making a purchase. So it can take a long while to realize sufficient income to make a living. You don’t want to tie the hands of your own online business opportunities!

This picture can be improved by adding plenty of relevant content. However, you can further optimize your exposure with more links to other websites. Here’s where you can get double the benefit out of adding links. You’ll be increasing your exposure when you get other sites that link to you. The search engine spiders poll these links regularly. The more relevant, quality links you have pointing to your site, the merrier your rankings become. More visitors, with more reasons to be interested in staying longer at your site. The end result is that your sales come quicker and your sales numbers increase.

When you structure your online business opportunity in such a way that each page on your site offers information with affiliate’s products specifically relevant to the interests of the reader of that information, your chances at a sale are automatically increased. You’ll definitely want to get into the Google Adwords program. Google does a good job of finding relevant products and services for you. Audio Books For Children

My kids love to be read to, but when I'm not home they still need their stories. I'm a professional, and I have to work late. My wife is no better and some nights neither of us is available to read the requisite bedtime story. That is why I like to get audio books for children. Although nothing beats having a parent read a story to you, in most cases a book on tape is the next best thing.

For a long time, I was skeptical of the value of audio books for children. I am a big fan of reading and self reliance as important values for kids. I figured that if my children wanted to get a bedtime story and I wasn't home, they could read it themselves. Then I realized that I was being silly. My son and daughter are both avid readers, so there is no harm in them being read to from time to time. Sometimes, having someone read you a story can really do a lot to put the mind and body at ease. I remember how much I enjoyed hearing my parents read me bedtime stories when I was a kid. Back then, people didn't work as much, and I could get any story I wanted pretty much every night. Although I can not do the same thing for my kids personally, I can still rent online audio books that let them hear someone else read a favorite story.

At first, my youngest didn't really like having to listen to an audio book for children instead of having me read. She said that the voice of the actor reading was scary, and she wanted me to do it. After a while, however, she got used to the way the audio books for children sounded. And of course, she started to figure out the advantages of a recording over her parents. When I read her a book, we always stop after about 15 minutes. When I'm not around and she is listening to one of the audio books for kids, however, she can keep listening for as long as she wants to. After all, I'm not there to stop her.

My favorite thing about the audio books for children is that they stop me having to read the stories I really don't like. In general, I am willing to read my kids pretty much anything they want to hear, but there are a few tales that really bore me. If my kids want a story that I'm not in the mood to read, they can pop in one of the audio books for children and sit back and listen. That way, everyone gets what they want.

7th Book of Harry Potter

Anyone who has not heard of the Harry Potter series must have been living on Mars! The series began in 1997 and concluded ten years later with the 7th book of Harry Potter, titled Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It was the fastest selling book in history and has been published in 93 countries. The excitement for fans was tangible with people lining up at bookstores on the launch date. There was a special treat for those lucky enough to get tickets through a ballot for an event at the National History Museum in London. 1,700 guests were there for a signing session and reading from the author, J.K. Rowling.

Rowling also toured America and appeared at Carnegie Hall. Guests obtained these tickets by sweepstake. Writers don't often get treated like rock stars but such was the anticipation surrounding the Harry Potter seventh book. Readers knew that there would be a final show down between Harry and He Who Should Not Be Named. Security was paramount and the publishers were very protective of the material. They didn't want anyone to spoil the party and reveal the plot outcome. Unfortunately there were some internet leaks that seeped out but by and large, security was maintained.

It was a difficult task to tie up all the plot strands from the previous stories but Rowling managed it with great skill and this 7th outing for Harry was well received by fans and critics. The author said that she always knew what the end game would be and how each character would evolve. Of course, there is just as much excitement when it comes to the films. Because Deathly Hallows is a long and complex book, the film adaptation will actually be two films. Both will be directed by David Yates, who directed the two films that went before. Part 1 is scheduled for release on 19th November 2010 and Part 2 for May 2011.

Filming for the final two installments will begin in February 2009 and is expected to last a year. Many actors playing the major roles for this adaptation of the 7th Harry Potter book have confirmed that they will take part. This includes the three young stars, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry), Emma Watson (Hermione) and Rupert Grint (Ron). They will be joined once again by Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, David Thewlis, Timothy Spall, and Brendan Gleeson.

Rowling has produced a spin off publication from the 7th book of Harry Potter, titled The Tales of Beedle the Bard. These relate to five stories of wizard fairy tales that are given to Hermione in the Deathly Hallows. This latest book was published around the world in December 2008 and the proceeds will be donated to charity. Rowling has also illustrated the book. She had made seven original books; all handwritten and given them to people who had helped her bring Harry Potter to the world. Click here for more books about Harry Potter.

Arm Workout

Looking to tone up flabby arm muscles? Five easy arm workout exercises that do the job!

With our increasingly sedentary lifestyles, even young people can develop the flabby arm syndrome. It's easy to identify. When you extend your arms in front of you, whatever flab you've got will be hanging unattractively from beneath the upper portion of your arms. Older people, who aren't as active as they should be, often discover this undesirable condition when they put on a sleeveless dress or shirt on the first warm day in spring. It's immediately apparent that you're in need of an arm workout routine to correct this! Here, we give you five highly effective exercises that require no special equipment and can be done just about anywhere. You can split up your arm exercises into several manageable, ten minute chunks of time throughout the day. Here's your arm workout routine that's guaranteed to get rid of the flab!

1.The arm circle exercise is essential to your arm workout program. Stand with your feet at a comfortable distance apart, say just 12 inches. Extend your arms out straight, parallel with your shoulders. Make circular motions, beginning with the hands, extending all the way up to your shoulders. Describe ten circles in one direction. Maintaining your arm position, reverse direction and repeat.

2.Lifting weights tones all of the arm muscles, top to bottom. A set of two pound weights are handy, but not necessary. Even a couple of empty coffee cans with handles, filled with two pounds of rice, dried beans or sand will work. Lie down with your arms at your sides. To a count of ten, slowly raise the weights just a foot off the floor, hold for ten seconds and then lower to another count of ten. Repeat ten times.

3.Maybe you remember this arm workout exercise from your high school gym class. Standing with your feet spread about a foot apart, bend your arms, forming a V-shape, with your arms in front of you, at chest height, with hands touching, but not clasping. Twist from the waist from side to side, maintaining the position of your arms. This not only tones the upper arms, but works to reduce your waistline, as well as toning your chest muscles. Women can firm up their breasts with this arm workout exercise.

4.Push-ups. Everyone knows this one. For the purpose of an toning arms, it doesn't matter whether you do them with knees bent or legs straight. If your arms are really out of shape, this arm workout exercise may be difficult but will produce great results. Start with just enough repeats to feel a slight strain and work up from there.

5.Bungee stretches are a valuable tool in your workout routine. Wrap the ends of a short bungee cord with tape, to protect your hands. Bringing your arms together at chest height, slowly stretch your arms out toward your sides. Hold for a count of five and repeat.

You can see how manageable this arm workout routine can be. It's easy enough to find a few minutes in your daily schedule to get these done. If you do each of these faithfully for one month, you'll see tremendous results. For more information, visit this website.

Abs Workout Routine

How to develop an abs workout routine that seriously reduces the waistline!

Probably 90% of people who need to lose weight have a waistline size that makes this apparent. Only a few people who are overweight have that excess weight evenly distributed over their whole body. So, if you know you need to go on a diet, developing an abs workout routine is an excellent way to inspire you to stick with the whole weight loss program. Why? Because if you get serious on reducing your waistline, you can rather quickly achieve astonishing results that will spur you on to success.

Here's a formula for an abdominal workout which will tone many other areas at the same time. You don't even need to buy expensive abs exercise equipment to begin with an abs workout routine that brings swift results. The basic abdominal workout outlined here may prove a bit painful if you overdo it, so start with just ten of each per day and work up gradually. You don't want to put yourself out of commission with an overly ambitious abs workout routine that results in a pulled muscle! The key to success is that you follow your routine. Do as much as you can comfortably tolerate. If you haven't done sit ups since high school, start with just five of each exercise in your abs workout routine. You must complete a set of each. If you're still good to go after that, get started on another set. So, here we go!

1.Do a set of sit-ups. If you feel you're really out of shape, start with the type that allows you to bend your knees, with feet flat on the floor. With hands clasped behind your head, at the base of the neck, touch your elbows to your knees. These are easier to take if you haven't been getting much exercise at all lately. Otherwise, go with the sit-ups that require that your legs lie straight out on the floor, lifting up with outstretched arms to touch your toes – or as close as you can get.

2.Do a set of push-ups. While you may think this is just arm muscle torment, it's also requiring a lot of tension in the abs and the front of the thigh muscles, as well as toning any arm flab.

3.Get a set of two-pound weights. This is a marvelous technique to integrate into your ab workout routine, simply because they are versatile. For example, from a seated position, with your legs crossed in front of you and arms at your sides, lift the weights to shoulder height and hold for just a few seconds. Continue, extending your arms away from your body, until fully extended. Hold for a few seconds, then bring your arms in again and set the weights down. Repeat for another set.

When you plan your abs workout routine, remember that you don't need to do the full routine all at once. Try the 8 minute ab workout strategy. Everyone's got eight minutes free, a few times each day. If such a schedule works better for you, there's no problem, so long as you faithfully complete your entire abs workout routine each day. There are also quite a few good abs workout videos and DVD's to choose from, so if that suits your style best, go with that.

If you follow the basic formula outlined above, you'll see significant results within a month. You might even need to buy a smaller belt! You're now on the road to a new, slimmer you!

1 Bedroom Apartment Rentals

Housing prices are going up, and many are losing their homes. What this might mean to you, if you want to rent, is that you have more competition than ever when you apply for apartments. You may not find one big enough, and that means settling for something smaller and with less bedrooms that you want. If you find that you are only having luck with finding 1 bedroom apartment rentals when you think you need more rooms, you may have to make some adjustments and take what you can find for six months or a year - depending on the lease.

If you have a few children, you are not going to fit into 1 bedroom apartment rentals no matter how hard you try. However, if you want an extra room for whatever reason, you may have to rethink things a little bit. Most that have an extra bedroom have it for the purpose of a home office or even a home gym. Those are things that are important, but if you have a 1 bedroom apartment, you are going to have to rethink how you do them. You may have to give up those for a while.

The home gym may have to go if you have 1 bedroom apartment rentals, but you may not be able to live without your home office. If that is the case, you have to carve some other space out in your home for your office. One mistake some make when doing this is that they put that office in their bedroom. This is not a good idea unless you can effectively split the room in two. If you have a view of your work space from your bed in your 1 bedroom apartment rentals, you are not going to sleep well at night. That sight is going to stop you from totally relaxing. That is bad for your health and your productivity all around.

You want to find somewhere else in your 1 bedroom apartment rentals to put your computer and/or home office. You want to see if you can find another room that has a bit of space that you can spare. This could be in your living room, kitchen, or dining room - if you have one. One great thing about a dining room is that you can convert that into your office if you don’t mind eating at the coffee table or at a table in your kitchen. You may also find space in a larger kitchen in 1 bedroom apartment rentals in which you can put your home office. You may not have much choice.

If you are having a hard time, base your 1 bedroom apartment rentals on overall space rather than the number of rooms. If you use your imagination, you can fit what you need within a larger space if that is what you can find. You may not have all the space that you want, but you can think of your 1 bedroom apartment rentals as temporary until you can find something bigger. Keeping that in mind may help you endure the smaller space until something bigger can be found and secured.

Direct Mailing Lists

Find Targeted Prospects with Direct Mailing Lists

I recently started a home business that relies heavily on sales volume to generate profits. Although I'm still fairly new to the game, I've already learned that the most important tools I need to have at my disposal are direct mailing lists full of fresh names and demographic information. Otherwise, I could end up wasting lots of valuable time and money marketing my products to customers who aren't genuinely interested in what I offer. That would be a fatal mistake for a small operation like mine.

I've been buying direct mailing lists from online marketing companies for a couple of months now, so I feel I have a pretty good grasp of which firms are worth dealing with and which ones I should stay far away from. First of all, the best firms out there offer direct mailing lists that are heavily segmented. This means the data are broken down into several subcategories that go well beyond the basics of household income, age, and number of family members and delve into things like lifestyle categories, special interests, length of residence, or even ethnicity of surname. The more information I have, the easier it is for me to make marketing decisions regarding my prospects.

A second quality that I look for in a firm prior to purchasing their direct mailing lists is the freshness of the data. Some of the more unscrupulous companies out there are content to sell information that is a year or more out of date, which of course renders the leads virtually useless to serious marketers that are going after high sales volume. I deal only with firms that can guarantee fresh leads and have a solid reputation in this regard. It definitely takes some digging to find these companies, but they are out there.

And finally, I like to buy direct mailing lists full of prospects who have voluntarily signed up for more information. It's one thing to put together a bunch of random names and addresses to sell to an unsuspecting marketer, but quite another to come up with a list of consumers that actually want more information about certain products and services. The last thing I need is to waste hours upon hours sending out materials to people who won't even glance through them because they didn't ask for the information. When I deal with interested prospects, my job obviously becomes a whole lot easier!

My advice to you basically boils down to this: it's worth paying a bit extra for valuable direct mailing lists that contain the segmented consumer information that you're after. Whether you're targeting homeowners, consumers, credit card seekers, or insurance applicants, using qualified leads always pays off in the end!
